AWP's Better Work Life Campaign is calling on the Jewish community to adopt new approaches to work-life balance and organizational effectiveness. Our goal is to enlist 100 Jewish organizations by the end of 2010.
 
We launched the Campaign with a national survey of work life policies and practices. The resulting report is the first comprehensive analysis of human resource benefits in the Jewish community, reflecting responses from 227 organizations of every type and size.

Why join the Campaign? Intelligent work-life policy is a powerful lever for high performance and high staff morale, as many corporations already know. If your organization is staffed predominantly by women - like most in the Jewish community - this is your chance to gain the competitive edge, by creating policies that attract and retain the best talent.
 
Why is work-life balance a Jewish issue? Jewish values center on family, learning, culture, care-giving, and spirituality. AWP's Better Work Life Campaign advocates for policies that support these profound communal values and promote professional excellence.
 
Who is eligible to join the Campaign? Any Jewish organization committed to improved work life policy – national and local, of every size, type and denomination – is eligible. Whether your organization already offers good policies or is just getting started on the learning curve, join the Campaign. Become one of the 100!
 
How will my organization be involved, once we join the Campaign? The goal of the Better Work Life Campaign is to help 100 Jewish organizations make the shift, from working harder to working smarter.
Every organization that joins the "100" will have access to AWP's consultative support and resources and will be invited to join conference calls, webinars and regional gatherings.
